Hilton Cairo Heliopolis has an opportunity for an Executive Chef. The incumbent will be fully responsible for developing the reputation of the hotel through the production of excellent quality food throughout the hotel, and the development of a high quality kitchen brigade.

As Executive Chef you will oversee the operational management of the kitchen and Team Mmbers, performing the following tasks to the highest standards


What will I be doing?

As Executive Chef, you are fully responsible for developing the reputation of the hotel through the production of excellent quality food throughout the hotel, and the development of a high quality kitchen brigade. An Executive Chef will oversee the operational management of the kitchen and Team Members. Specifically, an Executive Chef will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:Create and implement new menus and individual menu items for outlets based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with Director of Food and Beverage

    • Create and implement new menus and individual menu items for outlets based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with Director of Food and Beverage
    • Ensure the consistent production of high quality food through all hotel food outlets
    • Resolve, promptly and completely, any issues that may arise in the kitchen or related areas among Guests and Team Members
    • Manage department operations, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, food cost and waste management
    • Control costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins and other departmental and financial targets
    • Manage team member performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Recruit, manage, train and develop the kitchen team
    • Ensure food wastage program is adhered to so that margins are on target
What are we looking for?

An Executive Chef serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

    • Previous, relevant experience as an Executive Chef in a large, busy Food & Beverage Operation (+5 outlets and +3,000sq/m of banqueting facilities)
    • Previous experience as Executive Chef in Middle East/Levant areas
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills and proven track record of large events/outside catering set-up and management, along with high business and financial acumen
    • Excellent leadership skills, constant presence within the operations and ability to deal with multi-cultural workforce
    • A creative, detailed and innovative approach to the production of high quality food
    • Excellent communication skills, along with ability to multi-task, set and meet deadlines
    • Ability to accomplish property goals by accepting ownership and by stimulating team members via healthy internal competitive spirit
    • Ability to build relationships, internal and external, to the hotel and the Company
    • A successful and mature well-rounded Executive Chef always updated with the latest trends, who maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications

    It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

    Culinary/Management Certifications Proficiency with computers and computer programs (including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
