What will I be doing?
As the Luxury Project Director, you will handle Hilton's Architecture, Design & Construction aspects for Luxury projects in Central America / Latin America. These projects include new ground up construction builds and conversions from inception to opening. You will provide leadership on these projects as the principal Hilton representative by partnering with owners, developers and other project consultants. We believe this role is important for our overall growth initiatives within CALA.
- Assist in Hilton's development to secure agreements for new hotel developments or conversions.
- Work effectively with developers/owners & project design consultants to optimize the design, construction & opening of projects.
- Contribute to the creative and constructive process of value engineering.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Brand Standards & Objectives for all brands active in the region.
- Help build Brand “equity” by ensuring that owners follow Brand Standards and objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with the Design partners to create suitable design solutions.
- Ensure internal communications and effective relationships on those projects with all other Hilton departments and specialists including Brands, Design, Food & Beverage, Spa, Development, and Pre-Opening & Operations.
- Work with Hilton Pre-Opening Group, GMs and their teams during the Pre-Opening phase.
- Inspect and prepare Property Improvement Plans (PIPs) for selected conversion projects.
- Oversee Quality Assurance process during pre-opening inspections.

- Previous experience working on Luxury projects including planning, designing, project supervision and project management.
- Ability to build trust and gain respect of owners, developers, design consultants, contractors and Hilton Team Member's.
- Excellent people and communications skills with a strong understanding and sensitivity towards cultural differences and personalities types.
- Flexibility to handle challenging circumstances.
- Solves problems effectively and creatively while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and take total responsibility for multiple projects at a time while working in conjunction with the Global support teams.
- Skillful with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CAD, Blue Beam, and Adobe.
To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
- Fifteen (15) years of overall experience in Architecture Design
- Three (3) years of management experience
- Ability to travel internationally 50% of the time
- Previous experience working on Luxury architecture projects
- Fluent in Spanish, including speaking, reading and writing
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- MA/MS Master's Degree in Architecture
- Five (5) of Years of International Architecture Projects
- AIA Certified
- Proficient in Portuguese
