Public Area Attendant
What will I be doing? · Reports to work and swipes in. · Cleans walls and doors. · Re-hanging/re-hooking of drapes, unless it requires technical assistance, ex. screwing · Keeps areas dust free (high and low dusting). · Adhere to hotel safety rules and Occupational Safety Hazards Association (OSHA) safe work practice requirements. · Attends all departmental and other meetings for which he/she is schedule. · Maintains restroom and lockers clean. · Washes sink, toilets, urinals, tiles, walls, mirrors and floors · Replenishes paper towels and toilet paper in the washrooms. · Cleans and maintains all interior and exterior of windows · Cleans bridges and corridors. · Cleans and maintains all mirrors throughout the hotel. · Moves and arranges furniture. · Vacuums, sweeps and mops as required. · Maintains the cleanliness of offices, clean/mop the floor when needed. · Empties and washes wastebaskets from floor service, public areas and offices. · Transports trash and waste to disposal area. · Keeps work area clean and orderly. Uses equipment and the cleaning products as directed by supervisor. · Reports all repairs and maintenance issues of the hotel to immediate supervisor. · Picks up and delivers supplies and other items upon request. · Spots and shampoo rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture using vacuum, broom and shampoo machine. · Waxes and polishes floors by hand or machine, sweep and wash stairs and landings, polish brass and metal. · Documents work completed and submits report to Supervisor upon request. · Supports work efforts of Room Attendant, as directed. · Assists with all general cleaning and special projects, as directed. · Assists with rehabilitation projects as directed. · Sweeps/mops stairs and stairwells. · Wipes all metal and wooden rails.

· Consistently meets all written standards of quality and performance. · Cleans and washes walls under six (6) feet in height. · Maintains furniture cleanliness by dusting and wiping. · Sweeps and mops prefunction area (meeting). · Vaccums carpets in meeting rooms. · Reports missing items and hotel property misappropriated. · Returns “Lost & Found” items to Housekeeping/Security office. · Returns all departmental keys and radios assigned at the end of the shift. · Assists in cleaning of rooms and clearing floors as needed. · Represent the Housekeeping Department with professionalism and decorum.
· Performs all tasks assigned by Supervisor/Assistant Housekeeper.
