A Sales Manager (Corporate) with Conrad Hotels and Resorts manages designated corporate accounts, develop and solicits new business - hotel rooms, residential & non-residential events.

What will I be doing?

As Sales Manager (Corporate), you will acquire, develop and solicit new business (rooms, residential & non-residential events, F&B, etc) for key & local accounts. Responsibility include maintaining hotel relationships and grow market share. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:

  • Maximizing profitability of the hotel by providing outstanding quality of service to guests and clients.
  • Sales calls to customers and prospective customers to solicit business, engage sales activities, provide sales proposals and other external sales presentation service and maintain contacts, and to close deals.
  • Conduct property tours, site inspections and host as entertainment for potential clients where relevant and appropriate.
  • Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients and to secure corporate rates contract for new accounts.
  • Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Attend hotel/departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings or hotel events to support business operations, where necessary, eg. morning briefings, weekly Business Development meetings, lateral service, etc
  • Attend to assigned project as reflected in Success Factors
  • Involvement in drawing up Sales Activity Plan and business leads, submit weekly & future sales call reports/activity as per defined reporting standards as determined by DOS
  • Maintain comprehensive and updated account portfolio data, competitive set information and rate summary sheet
  • Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build comprehensive sales programs
  • Support Director of Sales in supervising and coaching Sales Coordinator through close supportive relationship
  • Support Director of Sales in tasks such as team member training and performance related assessments.
  • Manage staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Knowledge of local market & hospitality service
  • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems
  • Passion for sales and achieving targets & objectives
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous
