Senior Accounts Assistant
A Senior Accounts Assistant will directly support the Finance Manager to provide budgeting and forecasting to build the hotel's financial plans.
What will I be doing?
As Senior Accounts Assistant, you will directly support the Finance Manager to provide budgeting and forecasting to build the hotel's financial plans. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Provide assistance to the Finance Manager in the budgeting and forecasting of the hotel's profit, capital, cash and other short term plans
- Help to build a commercially focused Finance Department within the hotel, ensuring a financial knowledge base among management Team Members
- Reconcile and check accounts, as necessary, with the hotel
- Build accurate financial reports and identify clearly any discrepancies
- Apply financial, business and commercial perspectives to hotel operations in order to improve profitability and efficiency
- Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required
- Execute on tasks/requests as instructed by the Finance Manager and/or General Manager
A Senior Accounts Assistant serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Relevant degree, in Accounting or related business discipline, from an academic institution
- Previous experience in a high volume Accounts function, preferably within a hotel environment
- Excellent relationship building skills
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Experience with the PeopleSoft system
- Strong supervisory skills
