Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Services Finance
Our Finance team serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.
What will I be doing?
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Manager, Commercial Services Finance and will execute financial reporting and analysis and provide support to business partners and the Americas Commercial Services Team, a sub-function of Commercial Services. In this role, you will execute monthly and annual planning and forecasting responsibilities, prepare and analyze financial reports, and perform business analyses to help optimize and manage costs.
Two key components of Americas Commercial Services are; 1) RMCC (above property play to play centralized revenue management program) and 2) Hilton Advance (digital media optimization platform). The analyst would play a key role in maintaining financial models and analysis and will assist in the success of both programs.
More specifically, you will:
- Perform monthly Accruals and assist with Actuals Closing for Americas Commercial Services departments
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial performance reports, identify key trends, prepare variance explanations, and present reports to business partners
- Develop financial models in support of RMCC and Hilton Advance - using Excel, Hyperion and large datasets to identify areas of financial risk and opportunity
- Produce financial tables to support business cases, and validate financial assumptions
- Assist with developing and maintaining monthly forecasts in Hyperion Utilize PeopleSoft, Hyperion and Excel to maintain and build forecast models for accurate and rapid financial forecasts
- Assist in production of Monthly Business Reviews, providing information for any planning/forecast variances
- Play key role throughout annual planning process, build relationships with key partners
- Support business partners with cross charges, invoice queries, expense reports, etc.) - provide updates on status
- Provide additional support to GBCS reporting team as needed

- Excellent financial modeling skills, including ability to build dynamic forecasting models with multiple input sources
- Demonstrate general accounting knowledge, specifically around accrual, cost allocation, and amortization
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Three (3) years of overall work experience
- Two (2) years of analytical experience within a financial function
- Intermediate to Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
- Proficiency in PowerPoint to build clear and concise presentations
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Five (5) years of overall work experience
- Proficiency with Oracle Smart View and/or Hyperion Essbase
- Experience working with and/or familiarity with Data and Analytics and other commercial performance areas
