Senior Lead Advanced Analytics
Hilton’s Commercial Services organization is comprised of over 5,000 team members driving our sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions. These functions are the core of Hilton’s “commercial engine” and are key to Hilton’s ability to drive profitable growth.
What will I be doing?
As Hilton closed out its first 100 years the focus of the next century became clear – meeting personalized expectations at the customer level! As the Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics hub you will primarily be responsible for the strategic and tactical growth of Hilton’s Advanced Analytics function across the organization, building a dynamic understanding of customer conduct through machine learning & statistical techniques, delivering decisions driven by data and serving as a partner in the design of the data, process and systems to deliver against the mission.
More specifically, you will:
- Lead a multifunctional team supporting highly multi-functional strategic projects through the delivery of advanced analytics.
- Lead the transformation of the team as processes are automated, reports are moved to Enterprise BI and key processes like Test and Learn are matured.
- Lead the continued growth, change and development of the Hilton customer modeling ecosystem to empower the business to grow and execute strategies based on a personalized appreciation of customer actions across outlets, platforms and partner inputs.
- Guide the team to move beyond descriptive reporting and help partners identify relevant insights and actions from data.
- Define and refine advanced analytics and customer data journey, unlock data understandings, effectively build cohesive and powerful stories to present to senior management.
- Develop strong connections with key partners across business spheres in order to expand the capabilities of the organization - specifically related to advanced analytics, customer modeling, and operational excellence.
- Explore relationships and trends in response to partner questions and business challenges.
- Research, identify and develop solutions to business and client challenges.
- Facilitate and prioritize advanced analysis demand management requests and serve as a single point of accountability for team.
- Partner with the Customer, Marketing and Loyalty organizations to craft effective, self-service reporting on metrics, data, and policies to drive strategy and decisions on Hilton programs.
- Lead high-level strategic business requirements capturing and sub-areas of reporting information.
- Communicate functional data and analysis results to leadership through reports and presentations.
- Lead all aspects of the value measurement process to ensure business results are achieved.

- Confirmed ability to interact optimally at all levels within an organization, including senior management
- Solid understanding of predictive modeling, machine learning, and simulation techniques
- Experience with the tactical and strategic presentation of advanced analytics & enterprise machine learning ecosystems to deliver answers using Big Data, machine learning tools and related languages
- History of well-managed delivery of high-quality work, prioritizing boldly and utilizing connections, tools and technology to gain results; critical thinking with quantitative and qualitative analytics skills
- Organization skills to give superb attention to detail with a self-starter mentality that includes a balance of confidence and partnership
- Time management skills that lend to taking ownership of responsibilities, completing projects on time with a high level of positive energy and drive; lead/coordinate multiple priorities
- Autonomous work ethic to work independently with minimal direction
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Six (6+) years of professional experience
- Two (2) years of managerial experience applying sophisticated analytic techniques to business problems and opportunities; hospitality or customer experience preferred
- Five (5) years using machine learning (R, Python and/or Scala) across targeted analytics and enterprise modeling ecosystem use cases
- Two (2) years of Big Data technology
- Demonstrable experience with state-of-the-art techniques including Marketing Mix Models (MMM) and Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) used to measure marketing performance in offline and online environments
- Solid understanding of experimental design techniques
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- MA/MS Master's Degree
- Five (5) of Big Data experience (AWS, Redshift and Spark)
- Five (5) years of cloud native (AWS) data processing experience
- Two (2) years with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark streaming)
