What will I be doing?

As the Senior Manager, Project Optimization, you will lead a small team dedicated to supporting the efforts of the All Suites & Focused Service Brand Management team. You will deliver hotel performance reporting, dashboards, performance measurement trackers, efficiency tools and automations, systems management, optimization projects and communications. Your strong communication, leadership and analytical skills will enable you to successfully develop positive partnerships with senior leaders within Brand Management.  


Additionally, you will focus on enablement of the Brand Management team through the production of data insights, measuring impact of brand support initiatives relative to key performance indicators and making recommendations to brand leadership on future strategy.


More specifically, you will:
  • Work in partnership with the Director, Core Services to develop and innovate processes and protocols for internal administrative reporting and support. This includes establishing and delivering consistent service levels for Brand Management teams and other key partners
  • Lead in identifying performance trends and delivering timely presentations with key insights to partners and senior leaders. This includes attending key meetings, identifying business needs, pulling data, analyzing performance trends, and developing and delivering visual presentations of key findings with clear performance stories and recommendations
  • Consult with internal teams to gather brand performance tracking and measurement requirements
  • Translate partner requirements into effectively designed tools, reports and dashboards
  • Craft compelling brand performance stories using graphs and data visualization
  • Lead the Project Optimization team in the technical development and maintenance of tools, reports, trackers and dashboards using complex data tools including SQL, Tableau, Excel and Visual Basics
  • Build and maintain partnerships with other teams throughout Hilton to procure and maintain access to relevant data, reporting and tools on behalf of the Brand Management team
  • Perform complex data analysis and manipulation using advanced features of Excel including macros, pivot tables, advanced formulas and chart creation
  • Produce target lists of hotels, owners and management companies using performance criteria developed in conjunction with the Brand Management team
  • Develop and run a delivery schedule and internal quality assurance process to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of internal tools, reports and dashboards
  • Document, maintain and audit internal team workflows, data sources, report settings and processes
  • Manage, maintain and provide data, technical tools and automated processes required by the Core Services team in support of targeted communications
  • Lead system administration and improvements for project management, tracking and reporting applications


What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Seven (7) years of professional experience
  • Three (3) years using advanced Excel functions including macros, creation of vlookup tables, and data manipulation through advanced formulas
  • Two (2) years of project and/or process management experience
  • Two (2) years of hospitality experience
  • One (1) year of data analysis experience
  • One (1) year of experience crafting reporting and data insights presentations
  • One (1) year of management experience
  • Experience utilizing SalesForce or Tableau for reporting
  • Experience building technical efficiency and automation tools
  • Experience with data visualization and presentation development for senior leadership
  • Travel 25% of the time
This role is based in Memphis, TN with opportunity for a remote team member to be appointed with a mutually agreed upon travel schedule to be in Memphis at least one week every month.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
  • Five (5) years of hospitality experience
  • Two (2) years of brand experience
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing hotel operations performance data including OCC, ADR, RevPAR, SALT (Satisfaction & Loyalty Tracking) and STR
