Our Global HR team partners with our business leaders to attract, retain, and develop Hilton's most important asset, our Team Members.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the SVP of Global Total Rewards, you will lead the Executive Compensation and Equity team, liaising with key collaborators to design and deliver executive compensation programs that will attract, retain and develop executive talent globally. You will also be responsible for ensuring executive compensation programs are competitive, drive performance, align with Hilton's values, and comply with legal/regulatory requirements.

Additionally, you will serve as a key member of the broader leadership team, delivering outstanding Team Member experience globally through an ecosystem of Total Rewards programs that align with the Thrive@Hilton promise to its Team Members and have contributed to US Fortune #1 Best Places to Work ranking two years in a row.

  • Develop analysis, recommendations, and supporting materials for presentations to the Board of Directors' Compensation Committee and senior executives.
  • Design, implement, and administer executive compensation and equity programs aligned with the company's strategic goals, culture, values, and overall Total Rewards philosophy.
  • Lead all aspects of executive offers, severance packages, and pay recommendations.
  • Partner with key internal and external partners to deliver on various SEC filings and other regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee design and administration of the Employee Stock Purchase Plan and global long-term incentive programs, including ensuring well-governed processes, Team Member friendly communication, and coordination with Payroll, Tax, Finance/Accounting, and Legal.
  • Lead, develop and inspire your team to achieve both business and individual goals.
  • Manage effective partnerships with consultants, vendors, and other external partners.

 

What are we looking for?

We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Demonstrable track record of advancement, leadership, and business success, with extensive experience advising senior leaders on compensation and equity plans and practices
  • Detailed knowledge of executive compensation and related regulations
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to perform complicated financial analysis and modeling related to the compensation
  • Ability to communicate complex executive compensation concepts to senior leaders in a simple and easy-to-understand manner
  • Ability to be forward-thinking within the existing landscape (investor feedback, regulatory and governance issues) and Hilton values, ensuring that the company continues to be a leader in executive pay strategy
  • Shown success in translating organizational objectives into compensation strategies that deliver business results

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of professional experience in the compensation field
  • Five (5) years of people leadership experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in executive compensation and supporting Compensation Committees
  • Significant experience leading multiple complex projects and programs concurrently, facilitating solutions that anticipate implications of business decisions
  • Extensive experience influencing, supporting, and presenting to senior leadership

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Degree or MA/MS Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or relevant field
  • Three (3) years of compensation, consulting, or strategy experience with a large global population
  • Experience in a progressive, complex organization known for sophisticated methodologies in human capital management and development
  • CPA designation
  • CCP and/or CECP certification
