What will I be doing?

  • Lead & drive performance of our America’s Luxury Transient sales team (currently 4)
  • Lead sales strategy for Luxury Retail, Corporate (BTS) & Wholesale and collaborate with Hilton regional sales leaders to improve performance of the owned and managed luxury estate globally
  • Lead all aspects of day to day management of Global Luxury Consortia Partnerships and drive an increase in market share globally from American Express, Virtuoso, Signature & Select
  • Support Vice President Global Luxury Sales in all areas relating to Hiltons own Global Luxury Travel Industry Preferred Partner program (Impresario)
  • Coordinate & lead Americas Luxury Group sales strategy & development for Hilton key Group Preferred Partners – CWT, BCD, American Express, HB & CD
  • Represent Hilton Luxury brands at key Global Luxury Industry events & customer engagement areas within the Americas
  • While partnering collaboratively with Hilton Sales leaders on key performance initiatives and priorities, you will be committed to leading strategy covering all segments and channels to improve revenue and profit performance of the owned and managed luxury estate in the Americas, EMEA & APAC

What are we looking for?

We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Establish a strong mentoring culture within your team, instilling value engagement principles for working with corporations.
  • Support the team in achieving goals/sales targets, including complete account qualification to define (at a minimum): number of events, total revenue potential, booking patterns and history, decision-making factors, resources, competition, and event, business, and personal needs.
  • Identify, recruit, and assign key talent on the team, and ensure they have what they need to succeed and meet strategic goals.
  • Generate business leads for all Hilton domestic and international hotels, and drive focused sales solicitation plans for the distressed, holiday, and need period hotels.
  • Facilitate positive relationships with hotels, participating in introductions to clients, conflict resolution, contract negotiation, support of hotels, and closing sales. As well as participating in sales trips to worldwide hotels.
  • Champion effective record-keeping and documentation of sales activity through lead and call reports.

  • Sales Support – efficiently lead non-selling activity in support of driving sales results.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Seven to ten (7-10) years of work experience
  • Six (6) years of travel/hospitality industry experience in a revenue-generating or commercial role 
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of team leadership experience
  • Significant sales experience in luxury hospitality
  • Experience negotiating sales contracts
  • Experience preparing executive-level presentations
  • Travel as required

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Experience working in all key segments: Retail, Consortia, Corporate, Wholesale, and Group
  • Experience leading a remote sales organization
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft software applications: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, education, and/or training
  • Ten (10+) years working in a multi-complex hotel/travel industry environment
