The Global Marketing team brings to life the unique promise of Hilton’s portfolio of brands by defining, creating and delivering exceptional multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to drive business results.

What will I be doing?

Reporting into the VP, Global Brand Marketing, Media, Insights & Performance, the Senior Director will build and lead the marketing/loyalty performance and insights organizations, setting the vision for Hilton’s next-level approach. You will craft brand measurement frameworks and build an organization with data and impactful insights at the core of all decision-making. In the process, you will provide analytical support, critical thinking and strategic direction to develop performance strategies that will identify customer opportunities and address business challenges, while also crafting C-suite level narratives for cross-organizational alignment.

As a results oriented leader, you will lead, empower, and develop the Performance and Consumer/Guests Insights teams, ensuring their engagement and growth at Hilton.

This roll will be based in McLean, Va. During the ongoing pandemic, this role is remote (home-based).

More specifically, you will:

  • Act as the voice of the customer within Hilton and set the performance and measurement strategy and framework for Hilton’s Marketing & Loyalty efforts overall.
  • Identify consumer/customer trends, actionable insights and short and long-term marketing performance measures that enable us to build brand love, optimize marketing/loyalty plans, acquire new customers, deliver a connected customer experience and drive business results.
  • Partner closely with our Media and Analytics teams to be our subject matter authority on all areas of consumer and guest insights, marketing and loyalty data, measurement and optimization.
  • Be responsible for the creation of our attribution models, market mix modeling, brand health tracking, guest satisfaction tracking, creative and media effectiveness, optimization and measurement for Hilton, working in close consultation with leading agencies and vendors.
  • Apply analysis and insights from our ongoing company performance metrics to identify calculated risks and find opportunities that will drive business and brand growth.
  • Lead reporting on consumer, guest and commercial trends, and brand, enterprise, and marketing performance for the team, including leading Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Deliver analysis and recommendations on opportunities to drive in-quarter and long-term performance.
  • Lead the evaluation of media/campaign effectiveness and efficiencies, from creative testing insights to real time campaign performance and insights for media optimization.
  • Identify and apply outstanding methodologies, models, technologies, innovations and test-and-learn approaches.
  • Partner with Americas, EMEA and APAC teams to apply these globally, developing standardized templates and tools that can be used by all markets.
  • Ensure optimal performance by crafting processes to be efficient and consistent across the organization, building a culture of accountability to deliver high quality work and passionately advocate for ways to improve our customer experience and improve marketing performance.
  • Build positive relationships, with a focus on key partners within the Marketing & Loyalty Leadership Team, and cross-functional partners like Analytics, Category and Global Brand Heads and Owners.
  • Recruit and mentor top talent while building a hard-working, thriving environment to promote a highly engaged, performance-motivated team culture.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong ability to collaborate while selling-in ideas that are not always popular
  • Confident presenting to senior executive and owner audiences

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of professional work experience
  • Seven (7) years of experience in data-driven measurement/performance/insights
  • Four (4) years of experience leading marketing performance/insights in a corporate setting
  • Six (6) years of experience leading teams
  • Flexibility to travel 20%, as required

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Twelve (12) years of professional experience and an advanced degree (MBA in Marketing or related field)
  • Strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of marketing measurement, media metrics and systems, including but not limited to attitudinal brand measurement tools (e.g., Brand Lift, Brand Equity/Health), cross-channel media/brand performance and conversion optimizations
  • Deep understanding of digital engagement channels, tools and practices
  • Experience with dynamic, global B2C industries: FMCG, QSR/Fast Casual food retail, Online Global/cross-cultural experience
  • Knowledge of franchise organizations
