A Marketing and Public Relations Manager plays an important role in achieving key objectives in line with the annual marketing and PR plan, current initiatives and relevant activities. The marketing and PR team performs an integral role in bringing together all function areas to ensure commercial targets are heightened.



Work proactively with the London regional marketing team / any other Hilton sales and marketing teams to leverage the commercial expertise and resources available within Hilton for the benefit of the hotel.

  • Ensure that the physical appearance of the hotel is as per Hilton brand standards, supported as appropriate by collateral (e.g. in-room promotional material, point-of-sale merchandising).
  • Be actively involved in the planning, review and reporting of the hotel’s commercial plan (e.g. attendance at Business Focus Meetings, Monthly Business Reviews), consistently demonstrating a strong business acumen.
  • Be actively involved as a key member of the Commercial Management team.
  • Full control of our social media channels – Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter. Creating creative content, a social plan, monthly reports and ensuring content supports promotions or hotel USPs
  • Build a network of social influencers and bloggers – hosting events
  • Build and execute an internal and external communication plan
  • Create and execute a strategic and comprehensive advertising and Public Relations plan, including media planning as well as creative/visuals.
  • Constantly seek out innovative opportunities within digital marketing to ensure Hilton is at the forefront of online marketing
  • Work proactively with the Sales department to directly support their selling plans.
  • Work proactively with 3rd-party marketing.
  • Ensure that any work commissioned is preapproved by the Commercial Director.
  • Specific focus is required to ensure that the hotel’s online presence both on any Hilton websites and 3rd¬party websites consistently reflects best-practice.
  • Communicate with other managers/departments to create and execute effective advertising and Public Relations plans.
  • Plan and execute press releases, press conferences, press briefings, press tours, and overall press relations.
  • Ensure monthly checks are carried out on all Hilton Worldwide external tools (e.g. ResMax, Salesweb, Starcite, Cvent) ensuring the hotel content is relevant and up to date at all times.
  • Monitor local business websites and competitors, and report on any new hotel developments and trends.
  • Manage all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution with effective use of flyers, e-marketing, and all other forms of communication.
  • Proof-read and vet all written materials for external customer use, ensuring a high quality is achieved, before submitting to CD for final approval.
  • Oversee the consistency of all hotel communication tools in terms of design, copy, colour and adherence to Hilton Hotels brand standards.
  • Responsible for measuring the success of all digital and marketing activities, promotions and campaigns, and producing performance reports for all key stakeholders.
  • Identify local partnership opportunities with the regional team, and oversee the on-going execution of revenue driving activities.

    Advantageous skills/experience
    • Skills using adobe software ideally Photoshop, Premiere Pro and InDesign
    • A creative eye for producing collateral and flyers
    • Experience working with agencies – PR, design and video
     



    What are we looking for?

    • Previous Marketing and/or Press Relations experience in a similar environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
    • Ability to work under pressure at all times
    • Educated to College level or equivalent work experience
    • Demonstrates ability to interact effectively with various levels of management
    • Proven experience of working to and understanding key marketing and PR disciplines, plans and strategies
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. High level proficiency of native language dependant on location of role
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, budget management and project and time management
    • Demonstrates an understanding of commercial awareness, able to adapt to changing priorities with key judgement and decision making skills
    • Exhibits previous experience of written work in a communications role
    • Able to interact effectively, create solutions, influence others and work diplomatically with a wide range of individuals
    • Professional approach, clean and well groomed at all times
    • Friendly demeanour, positive and enthusiastic attitude with strong customer focus and ability to work independently
    • Honesty, integrity, passion for hard work and achieving results and successful outcomes
    • Demonstrated self-starter, with excellent attention to detail
    • Creatively minded and has a desire to work in marketing and/or PR for the hospitality industry
    • Enjoys working collaboratively and is a key team player with a “can do” attitude and thrives on a challenge
    • Good understanding of Hilton, its core values and management structure

    It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

    • Previous experience of working in a marketing and PR role for the hospitality industry
