- Minimum Education: Bachelor or MBA degree from business, real estate or hotel school.
- Proficient use of Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in a hospitality consulting, asset management, feasibility and/or investment analysis function, or demonstrated ability to perform the requisite functions above.
- High quality of verbal and written English.
- Foreign language skills.
- Passion for the industry and pro-active awareness of hotel/tourism market trends;
- Working knowledge and familiarity with geographic hotel markets in Europe; thorough knowledge of main international hotel brands and concepts;
- Committed to professional excellence, self-critical and driven to learn (=curious);
- Outspoken with confidence in communicating with various internal and external parties at different levels of seniority.
- Inquisitive and analytical mindset, attention to detail and problem-solving oriented; ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Experience in and working knowledge of hotel operations and systems;
- Conceptual/working knowledge of key hospitality disciplines (ex: revenue management, distribution);
- Ability to work with and build financial spreadsheets (in Excel), format documents (MS Word), prepare power-point presentations and use Google Maps.
- Strong understanding of valuation of real estate, hotel investment and financing.
- Good understanding of typical contract/legal structure in hospitality – Franchise and Management Contracts, Lease Contracts and JV structures
- Ability to apply principles of corporate finance and working knowledge of Uniform System of Accounts for Hotels.
- Contacts within the industry, especially within the consulting community.
- Ability to acknowledge critical feedback, come up with creative solutions and pragmatically improve performance by rapid and consistent implementation of the feedback
- Ability to collaborate, aspire and motivate other team members. Critically review, provide constructive feedback and critique analyses prepared by other team members.
- Proactively challenge and contribute towards the evolution of the team processes, mandate, knowledge base, connection to markets and professionals in the sector.
