Sales Manager
Responsible for the development of IBT and Groups market segment(s). Solicitation of new customer relationships and accounts while maintaining existing relationships with current accounts. Consistently striving to maximize revenue and promote relationships through effective negotiation of guest room and meeting space rentals, as well as food and beverage services.
What will I be doing?
As Sales Manager, you will analyse local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads

Responsible for weekly active field work by representing the hotel through conducting corporate & group sales visits and other external sales presentations to prospective customers to solicit, explain, negotiate and close hotel sales.
Utilize discretion and authority to negotiate contracts and commit company with customers and establish agreements with vendors.
Write proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective corporate & groups clientele for transient room rates, meeting space and/or banquet date, space and rate availability for group accommodations (10 > guest rooms) for moderately complex meetings.
Travel and engage in sales activities outside of the hotel/country to meet with and entertain customers and prospective customers, participate in tradeshows, and industry and community events to promote facilities, to make proposals, maintain contacts, and to close deals.
Attend weekly sales departmental meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, e.g., tentative review, lost business review, group-pick up, intelligence analytical reports, reader board, etc.
Conduct discovery visits with potential customers - (guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities in order to maintain competitive advantage that will drive conversion.
Daily visit to Compset in order to update reader board.
